This is the rarest and most celebrated of all
candle waxes. 
Also known as Bayberry Tallow, Myrtle
Candleberry, Tallowberry, Tallow Shrub,
Waxberry and Wax Myrtle.
The Official Latin Name is: Myrica cerifera.

It takes about 15 pounds of bayberries to make
1 pound of wax, but is well worth the effort and
cost.
This candle has a warm, earthy fragrance
reminiscent of newly mown hay, and dries to
a beautiful olive green color. 

According to tradition, a bayberry taper candle
burned all the way down on Christmas Eve or
New Years Eve brings good fortune for the
coming year.  As the saying goes:  " A bayberry
candle burned to the socket rings food to the
larder and gold to the pocket".

As is our practice we use only natural waxes and
this is the best of the natural waxes.
